BOYDS PC  has something for Everyone..!

FAMILIES WELCOME

ADULTS WELCOME

We are excited about our seasonal events (like our Fall Harvest Party, Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, Spring Festival) along with our regular Sunday programs.

We are re-building our current programs (Sunday School and Vacation Bible School) while also building more events into our community calendar.  We welcome feedback and suggestions.
There are several opportunities for adults to gather together for fellowship.  You are more than welcome to join us at any of these groups list below.  If you'd like to know more about our faith tradition, our church, or about becoming a member, please contact the church office for more info at boydspc@comcast.net.
  1. Nursery Available Sundays
Our nursery is hosted in a dedicated classroom in our Christian Education Building at 9:30 am. A trained adult provides the care for infants and toddlers. Parents are welcome to leave a cell phone number at check in, so that we can easily alert parents during worship if there are any concerns.
  2. Wednesday Bible Study
This adult group enjoys meeting regularly on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in P-W Hall to review a study guide that they chose or sometimes a resource that follows a Sunday sermon series.
  3. Children's Sunday School
School-age (Pre-K through 5th Grade) children gather together at 9:30 am for fun Bible lessons, age-appropriate crafts, and music in the Christian Education Building. We divide Sunday School classes by grade, depending on the number of students and teachers.
  4. Men's Fellowship
Men’s Fellowship meets for companionship, service to others, devotions and delicious breakfasts. Please feel free to join us on the second Saturday of each month, 8:00 am, at Bob Evan’s Restaurant, Milestone Shopping Center, Germantown.
  5. Middle School on Sundays
Students in Grades 6th through 8th gather together in Kerr Hall in our Christian Education Building at 9:30 am. We explore Bible lessons and church history, especially designed for this age group. We plan special events and field trips throughout the year. Students are invited to attend confirmation classes with the pastor.
  6. Mission & Merriment
On the first and third Tuesdays of each month, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, women of Boyds Presbyterian Church meet in Pollock-Williams Hall as the M & M's. This group is open to all women who are interested in helping people while meeting people.
  7. High School on Sundays
Our High School students meet in the pastor's office during the 9:30 am worship service. Lessons are customized to this group of students and often highlight current events and the particular interests of the students. We have three youth that serve on the Board of Deacons.
  8. Lunch Bunch
This group meets the second Tuesday of every month for lunch and fellowship at various restaurants. Many of the women are members of Boyds Presbyterian Church, but several are regular attendees from neighboring congregations of various faiths. It is a special time to share a story, a smile, and a meal.
  9. Student Outreach Services
Many of our youth work together to plan a few mission project during the year. These projects serve the community, encourage a hands-on approach to our missional identity, and offer opportunities for youth to earn student service learning hours for school.
  10. Choir
The choir meets every Wednesday at 2:00 pm throughout the year. If you would like to join our music ministry, please contact Jane Dassen at boydspc@comcast.net. Knowledge of music is not necessary as we learn together. The fellowship and the feeling of accomplishment in learning new music is very rewarding.
  11. Soul Sisters
Many of our working women can't make fellowship time during the day, so we started an evening group this year. We often gather at Bennigan's of Clarksburg for fun, food, and fellowship. We meet about once a month. Contact the church office for more info @ boydspc@comcast.net
